Founded by culinary evangelist Beth Heidrich, St. Louis Culinary Tours intimately is dedicated to connecting food enthusiasts to St. Louis’ progressive and outstanding culinary world by offering entertaining and informative tours for the ultimate St Louis foodie experience. The St Louis area and surrounding region offers a stunning diversity of nationally-recognized and up-and-coming chefs, beverage experts, specialty artisan food producers and local farms, and these craftspeople and their businesses can be found in many intriguing St. Louis neighborhoods. St Louis Culinary Tours was developed in response to our region’s growing appreciation for all things culinary, and Beth Heidrich is a connector. We support local food and are excited to share what our region has to offer.
Meet Beth Heidrich
Beth Heidrich has represented such chefs as Dean Fearing, Kent Rathbun, Daniel Boulud, Charlie Trotter, Norman VanAken, Jacques Pepin, Larry Forgione, Julian Serrano and Julia Child.
She began her interest in food and wine while studying abroad in Italy during college and in 1995 began working in Mobil Five Star acclaimed, The Mansion on Turtle Creek where she managed culinary events on and off-site including major fundraisers and celebrity parties. She handled the publicity for celebrity chef, Dean Fearing working with ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, BBC, TV Food Network, The Travel Channel, MTV, Conde Nast Publications as well as many other radio and print media.
Beth also started Mormino Enterprises, importing, marketing and selling Italian wood-burning ovens.
In 2003 she moved to her home town of St. Louis where she managed The Grill and Cigar Club at the Ritz-Carlton. She also took on Larry Forgione with An American Place and the Renaissance Grand & Suites as PR clients. She continued to work with celebrity chefs in her position at L’’Ecole and then for all of Vatterott Colleges. She brought several notable chefs to the Advisory Board and as guest chefs including Wolfgang Puck and Richard Chamberlain.
At Overlook Farm, Beth hired Executive Chef Timothy Grandinetti and brought PBS “Cooking with Chef Bob” to the farm for a week-long television shoot for national syndication.
Beth co-founded the St. Louis chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier with an invitational brunch featuring Cat Cora, Iron Chef. She co-chaired the Les Dames d’Escoffier International conference in St. Louis, October 11-14, 2012 at the Ritz Carlton.
Ms. Heidrich is now the Culinary Evangelist and founder of StL Culinary Tours, an intimate food experience focusing on the talent of chefs in different neighborhoods of St. Louis. She founded StL Culinary Tours in the spring of 2012 and has received national media attention within the first year of business. Beth enjoys cooking, travel, entertaining, being with her family and friends, reading and life in general.
